I love this prodect. It was a hit at the first poker game I hosted. Everyone loved the look and feel of the chips.

Excellent inexpensive set Apr 10, 2010
I've had this exact set for over a year and it has seen HEAVY use. Weekly poker nights and other home games. One poster commented about discoloration; there is only slight discoloration to the chips after hundreds of hours of constant chip shuffling. This is to be expected, but is in no way a problem. The chips do not have metal inserts, but are still heavy and feel high quality. Edges are still square despite heavy chip shuffling. Case is reasonably strong and has withstood abuse sliding around in my truck and being lugged around to games. The original motor cards are average, but won't last long. If you like paper cards, replace the included "Motor" brand with some Bicycle's. If you like plastic cards (Cellulose Acetate), try the Kem Arrow or Copag decks. The buttons are not fancy and prone to paint wear on the blind buttons. Dealer button is proper size and looks nice.
In summary, this is the perfect set for someone just starting out or someone that wants the most chips they can carry in a reasonable-weight package. The 1000 chip cases are enormous and extremely heavy, so beware. For chip shuffling and tricks, they feel heavy and sound very traditional if not a little deeper than the standard 10 gram casino chip.

Very neat case to carry all the poker chips and cards and dealer buttons. All the chips are heavy and the case can handle the weight and it can even be locked! Definitely this poker set has been the attraction in recent parties I have been to and this poker set has been liked by many friends. Lots of chips and you will never run out. Also the number of chips that you get for this much money is I think excellent, obviously you won't get casino quality chips at this price!!
Overall I am pretty satisfied with this product and this will be used by me and by my friends a lot this winter in Rainy Seattle!!

I bought this set for my boyfriend for his birthday after a lot of research. I had it ship directly to his house, so I was a little worried about not being able to see the quality and chip distribution before giving it to him. I finally played with them last night and they definitely exceeded my expectations. The chip distribution was exactly as pictured, and I don't play much poker but the chips were the best quality I have ever used. They are not even comparable to the plastic chips with metal insert. Everyone was commenting on how nice and heavy they felt. The only thing that is poor quality is the dealer chip, but that really wasn't a big deal. The case is nice - the chips fit snugly and it even locks. It also came with two new decks of cards. Overall a great item that I would recommend to friends.

Owninng these chips and a set of chips with the metal inserts I can definitely see the difference between the 2. The chips feel good and sound and act as you would expect/want them to. I am very pleased with the set. As others have said, the cards leave some to be desired, but seeing as how I did not by the set for the cards I am not worried about that in the least.
