Riview of bicycle carrier Jul 11, 2011
By FrankW Overall, I like the bike carrier. It is fast and easy to load the bicycles on the carrier. As indicated in other reviews, the collar did not fit easily over the trailer hitch bar. I spent about 30 minutes filing down a ridge and some high spots inside the collar before it would fit over the hitch bar.
When using the carrier, it was somewhat challenging to attach my trailer to the hitch ball. The carrier tends to get in the way and prevent the latch on the trailer from opening all the way. I found it worked better if the trailer was at an angle to the trailer hitch when hooking up the trailer.
The velcro straps that come with the carrier could be improved. It would be better if the strap were designed to bend back on itself and fasten after it goes through the buckle. It would be more secure that way. I lost one of the straps when it came open as I drove over a speed bump. Fortunately I found it on the pavement the next day. You may want to supplement the straps with some bungees.
Again, not perfect, but a decent value for the price. I'm satisfied.

basic hitch mount bike carrier Aug 21, 2010
By RQD This bike carrier will get the job done if your willing to work within its limitations. Noting folds or moves with wing nuts - so bring two pliers. You may need to get creative to make this hitch fit your receiver. Very doable if you don't mind smacking your new bike carrier with a sledge hammer....I mounted a three bike "L" carrier to the back of this hitch to convert the two bike carrier into a five. You can't do that with any other carrier I've seen for $58.00 Don't expect a Yakima or Thule for sure. But if you just want to get the bikes from point a to b for cheap, this will do it.
