It is a good basic wood backgammon set for the price. Nicely built and sturdy and a good size. I prefer wood backgammon sets to PVC ones simply because I like the sound of rolling dice on a wood surface. A little noise makes the game more fun and exciting.

It is good value and adequate to play the game. I like it and it is not very pleasing to look at but for the price it is more than adequate.

For the price, good quality. A stain or two on the wood.
It feels solid and makes a particularly nice sound when placing the checkers.
I wouldn't throw it around too much, since it probably won't stand abuse.

For the money spent on this Backgammon set there are much better boards out there. If I could I'd send it back I would. cheap box, with cheap game pieces.
