5Great Professional Quality Chip Set  Jul 14, 2005
By turtlex "turtlex"
.
I recently purchased this chip set after looking around at quite a few different sets (and different companies, both here at amazon and at multiple internet sites). I knew what I wanted - good chips, with a casino feel. And I knew what I didn't want - light weight chips with poor graphics.

I can say unreservedly that I am extremely happy with my purchase.

First, the 11.5g weight of the chips has an excellent feel to it. Casino quality, all the way.

The chip set consists of ten 50 chip stacks which breakdown as follows :

150 gray chips marked "1" (3 stacks)
150 red chips marked "5" (3 stacks)
50 blue chips marked "50" (1 stack)
100 green chips marked "25" (2 stacks)
50 black chips marked "100" (1 stack)

Each chip is very colorful and displays it's amount along with a fanned hand of poker.

The most important feature of this set, though, in my opinion, is that the markings on the chips are non-specific. For example - a "1" can be a used as a penny chip or a dollar chip. A "5" can be a nickel or five dollars, etc. This is a hard to find feature in purchasing a good chip set.

Also included, in the silver case, are two decks of cards, 6 red dice, a dealer button and five other smaller poker buttons (kill, missed blind, little blind, big blind and reserved). These smaller buttons likely won't get used, as most folks just use the dealer button and move from there.

I highly recommend this set. It is a great price and it arrived in pristine condition, which is saying something - since it has a good deal of heft to it.

And now, to steal a phrase - get these chips and shuffle up and deal!

Regards,
turtlex

5This is the best set at this price! The graphics are awesome  Aug 04, 2005
By Jamie

I searched both amazon and other websites for poker chips and for the amount of chips you received, the type of chips they are, and the graphics these are by far the best! I checked similar style chips (the flush pattern) and all of them were about 10-15% more in price.

My comment about the chips: They are a composite clay and are not real clay chips (you can't find real clay chips for under $100)but the look and feel of these are just like the real thing. I also like that the graphics don't have the "$" symbol. You cant find that on any other chips (and I've looked!)

The case is very nice and include all the buttons (but real poker players only need one (and we know which one that is)). I think the dice are a waste of space and plan on giving them to my kids for their Monopoly set.

PokerGoods is a very good company to deal with. I sent them a email and received an immediate response (they never sent me a tacking number so I requested it and received a response in less than 5mins).

The only downside to my purchase is this. I went ahead and spent the extra on express shipping (1-3 days) but they were sent UPS ground. Believe me I am not complaining! First for the cost of the express shipping it is still well worth it due to the weight of the chip set (they said 18lbs but more like 25-30lbs). Second I only live 3 hours from them so UPS ground still delivered them to me within 48hrs.

In summary, these chips are by far the best out there! I plan on buying more from PokerGoods in the future. They are effective, efficient and excellent to work with and any other complements that start with the letter "e" ;*)

Now if you'll excuse me I have a game to host!!!!

2Inaccurate reviews and product description  Apr 18, 2008
By D. Chang
I have been reading the reviews about this 'Royal Twist Design' set from ChipsAndGames, most of them are good. I was looking for numbered chips and this set was among the cheapest I could find, so I went for it. But when I received the product, I was shocked to find that the chips are PLAIN without any designs or numbering. I contacted the seller and they confirmed that there is no mistake because the photos do show plain chips, and what you see is what you get. They also said that they can't remove inaccurate reviews from other customers.

My point is, PokerGoods has an identical product also called 'Royal Twist Design'. Their photo shows a fanned poker flush design with numbering (1,5,25,50,100). I believe that the other reviews on this ChipsAndGames item were posted wrongly. You should rely on the seller's photos rather than the reviews, especially the outdated ones. So if you want plain chips, get ChipsAndGames. If you want numbered chips, look elsewhere.

4Good chips for a home game  Aug 03, 2005
By Ed "edshull"
To be honest, I'm slightly disappointed in the chips. I don't think they are clay chips like I hoped. That being said, I did get what I paid for. The case if very nice for these. It looks like a sniper riffle case! The chips are not clay, but they do have a nice feel to them and make the cool sound when tossed on the felt. I chose this set because they had amount on the chips. They have 1, 5, 25, 50, 100's. Notice something missing...no 10's. That's a little annoying.

Overall, these are a good buy. If you're looking for a good set for home play, these seem to be a decent value.

5Amazingly fast shipping and response, excellent quality  Jun 14, 2006
By Robert S. Henry
The chip set is exactly what is advertised, great quality and excellent for the price. Other reviews have discussed case quality being sub-par, I didn't find that to be the case. The chips arrived approximately 7 days after ordering them, well before what I anticipated. When my case arrived, I had one extra stack of $100 chips and no $50 chips. I contacted the seller on the weekend, they almost instantly responded, and the next day they shipped my $50 chips. I've sent their link to all of my friends and I couldn't be more impressed with their customer service and quality.
