I ordered a sample. They are plastic, not clay. I cut one in half to be sure. Glad I got a sample before I ordered the set. They are nice looking chips with a good feel, but are still plastic.

I read the review that says these are plastic, not clay. That's completely wrong! I broke a chip and took some close up pictures for you to see. You can see them in the customer images section of the listing above. You can clearly tell from the close-ups the chip is clay. Plastic does not break that way the picture clearly shows it.
I highly recommend these chips. They are the perfect material for riffling- not as sticky as Paulsons, and they are about a third of the price.
